Columbus Brewing Co., the second oldest craft brewery in Ohio, will expand its distribution into Northeast Ohio starting next week. "It's been on our wish list or a target for a long time," owner and brewer Eric Bean said. "It's a great beer market and we want to be a part of it." Columbus will start out with draft beer, including its IPA and Bodhi, a double IPA. Bottles will follow by April or sooner, Bean said. Columbus will hold three launch parties next week, all at 6 p.m.: Lizardville in Bedford Heights on Tuesday, 101 Bottles in Kent on Wednesday and Buckeye Beer Engine in Lakewood on Thursday. Bean will attend each event, along with other brewery workers.
