Dayton will serve as a test market for the new Third Shift Band of Brewers Amber Lager, a small batch from MillerCoors, the Dayton Daily News reports.

The beer is made at a MillerCoors brewery in Fort Worth, Texas, as opposed to the MillerCoors plant in Trenton, Ohio.

The Third Shift name comes from a group of MillerCoors brewers who experiment with recipes during their downtime at a brewery in Golden, Colo., Advertising Age reported. "They play around and they experiment and when they get it right and they all love something, they enter it into [contests]," Sarah Ross, marketing director for innovations at MillerCoors, told the publication.
