Four String Brewing Co. in Columbus will open its taproom at 5 p.m. Oct. 4 and release its new seasonal brew Skeleton Red IPA. People will be able to come in and sample the beer or grab a 64-ounce or 32-ounce growler to go.
"We're super excited after two years being in the market on draft at bars and restaurants ... to welcome the public to our headquarters and share some fresh beer," owner and brewer Dan Cochran said.
The tasting room will have five beers on draft for the grand opening. The 400-square-foot taproom will be open from 4 to 11 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, and from noon to 11 p.m. Saturdays, Cochran said.
As part of the grand opening, Four String will release its Skeleton Red IPA, an American India pale ale with a hint of rye. It's 6.6 percent alcohol by volume and 66 IBUs.
Asked to desribe the beer, Cochran said: "It has a caramel note from the malt bill and a dry finish, as well as what I would call a fruity and flowery aroma."
