The Reverend

Yesterday, I saw, somewhere, a clever twist to The Donald's slogan "make America great again" ....."make America hate again." And as that clever slogan pertains to the alleged feud between Megyn Kelly and Trump, it is spot on. Take a look....

34 different Twitter accounts have targeted Kelly with the “c” word in the last 24 hours. 423 have called her a bitch. “Bimbo” clocked in at 404. “Whore” was leveled at the accomplished news anchor 88 times. These numbers are, of course, subject to change.

But, quite frankly, I don't think Trump's no-show at tonight's Fox GOP "debate" has much, if anything, to do with Megyn Kelly. I have heard Trump comment....multiple times....about the ratings, the number of viewers, watching the GOP Clown "debates." Because he is the Kong, Trump takes personal credit for record-breaking "debate" audiences.

So, with just a few days left before voting, or caucusing, begins....The Donald, I think, is teaching cable network heads, like Roger Ailes at Fox, a very expensive lesson about who holds most of the money cards, as it were.

Yesterday, I heard El-Blubbo say that instead of Fox being able to charge $750K per 30 second commercial at tonight's event, without Trump's presence that number could go as low as $150K per 30 second ad. Now, Rush is a serial liar....but even if Fox loses half of its expected audience for tonight's "debate" without Trump, THAT is a serious matter for Foxian heads.

This morning, I see an uncorroborated report that CNN will televise Trump's Veterans and Wounded Warriors charity event in direct competition with Fox's Clown "debate". If true, then Trump, it would seem, is really trying to hurt Fox financially.....using the opportunity as a teaching moment for network and cable execs everywhere.

And what is the lesson?

'I am Kong. If you speak a disparaging word about me, I will stomp your private for-profit Village into the dust. I will hurt you where you can really feel it the most....your bottom line. So far, you guys have been overjoyed with the extra profits from me being in the GOP Clown race. But Kong will not be mocked...in any way.

'So, what I, Kong, am going to do, is put one of my very large feet down hard on your Fox-profits plan to remind you who your sugar-daddy really is.'

Kong, you see, is an unforgiving and vengeful beast.

Be back later today.
