The fourth annual Lakewood Wine & Craft Beer Festival will feature more than 180 craft beers from nearly 50 breweries and 60 wines from 50 wineries.
The event, sponsored by Sibling Revelry Breiwng Co. and presented by LakewoodAlive, takes place from 5 to 10 p.m. Sept. 10 in downtown Lakewood.
"This popular community event affords us yet another opportunity to foster and sustain vibrant neighborhoods in Lakewood," LakewoodAlive Executive Director Ian Andrews said in a prepared statement. "We invite wine and beer enthusiasts from Lakewood and across the region to attend and enjoy our festival.”
The Cleveland-area breweries participating include: BottleHouse, Fat Head's, Great Lakes, Portside and Sibling Revelry.
The festival, which serves as a fundraiser for LakewoodAlive and the Lakewood Downtown Business Alliance, has drawn a sellout crowd of 2,000 people in the past. It will be held behind the INA Building at 14701 Detroit Ave.
General admission tickets are $40 in advance or $50 at the gate, and can be purchased online at WineandCraftBeerFestival.com or at Rozi's Wine House in Lakewood. VIP tickets are sold out, according to the website. Guests will receive a commemorative tasting glass, 15 sample tickets and access to The University of Akron Lakewood Wine & Beer School, which involves 30-minute, free classes focusing on the basics of wine, homebrewing and a talk by Sibling Revelry about what it takes to open a craft brewery.
Food will be available for purchase from 10 Lakewood restaurants, and there will be live music.
