The 16th annual Learn to Homebrew Day is Saturday (Nov. 1) — and there are plenty of learning opportunities taking place around Ohio.

The day, sponsored by the American Homebrewers Association, allows homebrewers to show off the beer-making hobby. This year, more than 300 events are expected to take place at homes, homebrew shops, breweries and club gatherings, the association said.

“Homebrewing is at the very heart of the craft beer revolution,” association Director Gary Glass said in a prepared statement. “Learn to Homebrew Day encourages people everywhere to be a part of the ever-growing movement and become familiar with the brewing process — the basics of which are much simpler than many think.”
