Market Garden Brewery in Cleveland will host a Master Brewers Association of the Americas program on "Understanding Beer Flavor" from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 24. The seminar is open to anyone, but especially wholesalers, retailers and brewery staff. It's part of the Beer Steward Certification Program.

The program will teach people about how raw ingredients and the brewing process affect beer flavor; beer styles, flavors, and aromas; building a vocabulary that goes beyond “malty” and “hoppy;" understanding how to maintain beer freshness; using the appropriate glassware for each beer type; and assisting customers with pairing food with beer.

The cost is $275 in advance or $300 at the door. For more details or to register, click here.
