Ohio Governor John Kasich, August, 2012....

"...I told you a minute ago that when we came into office, we were 48th in job creation. You know where we are today? We’re fourth in American in job creation and No. 1 in the Midwest."

Kasich came to the Ohio governor's job in January 2011.....just in time to reap the benefits of Obama's stimulus bill of 2009.

When Kasich was elected Governor, Ohio’s job creation rate was nearly twice that of the national rate. In November 2010, Ohio’s job creation rate was 1.02% compared to the national average of .54%.

So, when Kasich was inaugurated as Ohio's governor, he began taking credit for having already hit a home run...when in reality, he wasn't even in the game, or the dugout, when Ohio's jobs landscape improved.

Ohio’s jobs numbers bottomed out in 2010, before Kasich took office, and began to rise before he defeated incumbent Gov. Ted Strickland that year.

The true test of a governor's leadership on, you know, job growth.....isn't taken when a governor is first inaugurated. Rather, the true test of a governor's leadership on jobs growth....is taken just before that governor runs for re-election. And that would be now....

Now, Ohio is ranked 45th in the nation with a job growth rate of (.60%), which is less than a third of the national rate of job growth (1.96%). [Source: Arizona State University, W.P. Carey School of Business, “Job Growth USA” website 12-month change (accessed 10/22/2014)]

Even though Kasich has been puffing his chest out bragging about his unaccountable Jobs Ohio slush fund...and how his administration has been all about jobs, jobs, jobs....here's what Kasich's record is for the last two years....

By the latest calculations, Ohio under John Kasich now has a record 23 consecutive months in which the state has underperformed the national job creation rate.

No wonder Kasich has no interest in debating.

Kasich's other "accomplishment" as Ohio's governor is balancing the state budget which demonstrated a large deficit when Kasich took his oath of office. Here's Kasich's gubernatorial opponent, Democrat Ed Fitzgerald, explaining how L'il John went about eliminating that deficit....

“Last year, the Kasich budget raided funding to cities, counties and schools. And they diverted it to their own state government. As you would expect, the Kasich budget then created a ripple effect of cuts to teachers, police officers and firefighter."

Kasich, a Republican...um....redistributed the deficit that his former employer, Lehman Bros, helped to create in every state in the Union....to the backs of Ohio's common working folks. And then went about cutting state income tax rates for Ohio's richest families. Just call him...Supply-Side Johnny.

Kasich is an odd duck....I've called him goofy in the past...and rightfully so. And he's a bit dickish to boot. Don't believe me? Go here and watch Kasich in action.

According to the Ohio political blog Plunderbund, Kasich was quite the pissy little douchecanoe at the meeting, refusing to acknowledge the existence of Democratic candidate Ed Fitzgerald. Kasich slumped in his seat like a bored student and repeatedly talked around questions rather than answer them.

LIke I said......goofy.

Taking credit for something he had nothing to do with....Ohio job improvement in 2010 and 2011. Rolling tax burdens down onto the common folk still struggling from a Bankster collapse Kasich's former employer helped to bring about. Attempting to gut collective bargaining while slashing benefits for Ohio's public workers in the odious SB5. Moving Ohio backwards by cutting back on alternative electricity sources. Putting Ohio at 45th in the nation on job growth in the state over the last 2 years.

And all while acting like a goofy...and "pissy little douchcanoe."

Yet.....Ohio's Plain Dealer and Akron Beacon Journal have endorsed the pissy little man....and L'il John is expected to win decisively next Tuesday against Fitzgerald.

What's the reason for this apparent dissonance.....according to Very Serious Ohio Media?

Fitzgerald doesn't have a driver's license.

Don't ask me....because I can't begin to explain it.
