The Reverend

It was just Tuesday that I wrote this....

So, when Trump "slips" and calls Hillary a bitch, or something comparable, corporate-whore media members will yuk it up, explaining how nothing Trump can say will hurt his chances because: he's Trump. When Donald points back to the Bill Clinton 90's and blames Hillary for her husband's consensual sex improprieties, fluffer-media will say it is all "fair game."

Two days later, at the "liberal" CBS website......

On the face of it, insulting your way to the presidency seems like a stupid, unworkable idea. Then again, Clinton has shown herself vulnerable to attacks on her character, not to mention her husband's.

At first, those two sentences seem like throwaways...but consider what it is that the CBS writer, Will Rahn, is suggesting. Usually, "insulting your way to the presidency" is probably not the way to go....but because Hillary "has shown herself vulnerable" to being insulted, then maybe insulting your way to the presidency really is the way for Trump to go.

Translation: Because Hillary has responded at times to political and personal insults from opposing candidates...she is "vulnerable." If Hillary would just stay silent when Trump and other Republican assholians viciously attack her, then....if I'm understanding the premise correctly....Mrs. Clinton would not be so "vulnerable" to those attacks...and therefore, Trump's reliance on a strategy of insults could not be successful.

What this is is the "battered woman" syndrome. Man of the house comes home pissed, or drunk, or both....and starts picking on the woman of the house. Insults, name-calling, accusations, threats are all hurled at her in rapid fire. If the woman of the house opens her mouth to defend herself,...using the CBS writer's premise....then, she is leaving herself "vulnerable" to the physical beating she, herself, is asking for by foolishly trying to defend herself. The battered woman is 'asking' for the beating.

That's what "Clinton has shown herself vulnerable to attacks"....means. The only way Hillary can prove she is not "vulnerable" to personal and political attacks from Trump would be for her to keep her head down and refuse to respond to any of those attacks. Otherwise, if she tries to respond to the millions of accusations thrown at her, then she is asking for more...and that means everything is fair game, nothing off limits.

On Tuesday, I also typed up what an anything-is-fair-game question would look like....

Questions like: 'Was Hillary's refusal to leave Bill in the 90's a symptom of a flawed character in a weak woman?'....will be asked with straight, Serious faces.

CBS' Will Rahn on Thursday....

What happens when Trump, after Hillary inevitably accuses him of sexism, says that Bill is a rapist, a serial assaulter of women, and that she is his enabler? What happens when he incorporates this into his stump speech? The upside, if you can call it that, to Trump's refusal to act "presidential" is that he is the only candidate who will go that far. Trump, and Trump alone, is the only candidate who would not only resurrect all the Clinton sex scandals, but make them a centerpiece of his campaign.

"she is his enabler"......shocker, right?

Let's focus on "after Hillary inevitably accuses (Trump) of sexism". Why, pray tell, would it be inevitable for Hillary to accuse Trump of being sexist? Answer: Because he is a sexist. Now, there's ample evidence that Trump is quite the sexist swine....but for me...this one eliminates all doubt....

“You know, it doesn’t really matter what [the media] write as long as you’ve got a young and beautiful piece of ass”, he told Esquire in 1991.

Will Rahn sees the potential of Trump playing the dick card against Hillary as the "upside" in his chances to beat our nation's first female presidential candidate. As strange as it may seem.....Rahn says that only The Donald can play the dick card because Trump is the only candidate who would "go that far." Why strange? Because Rahn comprehends Trump's dick card playing as a path to winning the presidential contest.

Like...this...

.....the fact is we have no idea how Trump dredging up all this will play, particularly among the younger voters Hillary will be somewhat dependent on. We don't know how Americans who've grown up marinating in discussions of rape culture, who watched the Cosby and Catholic and Dr. Luke scandals unfold, would respond to the renewed visibility of someone like Juanita Broaddrick.

See how it works? Rahn went from 'Hillary enabled Bill' to Bill is a rapist...which means Hillary enabled a rapist....and because Millennials discuss "rape culture" a lot, a rapist enabler will have a hard time winning the votes of those Millennials....or something. You see, "we have no idea how" accusations that Hillary is a rapist enabler "will play."

But, what we do know, what we don't have to speculate about...is how Trump's sexism, thus far, is playing out.

70% of all female voters, right now, cannot see themselves supporting Trump's presidential bid in November. 47% of all Republican female voters cannot see themselves supporting Trump in November.

So, keep on playing that funky dick card, white boy Donald....please. Because while you are exciting those fellow male-assholians out there, causing them to pump their fists in the air shouting 'teach that bitch a lesson'.....the margin of Hillary's November victory only grows larger.
