The Reverend

As it stands now, Hillary Clinton has what looks like a safe national lead among Democratic voters over Bernie Sanders. Sanders looks poised to compete in Iowa on Monday,.....he should win, perhaps handily, in New Hampshire on February 9th....but as conventional wisdom has it, after that, it looks like Hillary will be in the driver's seat to capture the Dem nomination.

But to some, the popularity of Bernie Sanders' candidacy is just too close for comfort. In this WSJournal piece, Peggy Noonan explains how the Sanders campaign marks a generational change within the Democratic Party.....

I listen to Mr. Sanders a lot, and what he says marks a departure from the ways the Democratic Party has been operating for at least a generation now.

The Clinton administration didn’t hate Wall Street, it hired Wall Street. Big government, big Wall Street—it all worked. It was the Great Accommodation, and it was a break with more-socialist approaches of the past.

Noonan knows that the Democratic Party over the last 25 years has embraced Big Money, Big Wall Street as their partners. During the Bill Clinton center-right administration, Glass-Stegall was repealed, the Commodities Modernization Act was passed, as well as the U.S. jobs destroyer, NAFTA. All of those decisions led to the gutting of good U.S. jobs, the Enron ponzi, and finally, the Great Reset of 2008, brought to us by Big Banksters and Big Insurance.

Mrs. Noonan looks over the landscape of the Clinton era, and claims that..."it all worked." Like many dishonest proponents of supply siderism, she attributes the more-prosperous 90's to Clinton's.....and way too many Democrats...willingness to move towards the Republican Party when it comes to Big Money, Big Corp.

In truth, the 90's prosperity came about because of one Big Thing, the digital technology driven dotcom explosion....a once in a lifetime event. As it worked out, the Clinton era decisions led directly to the Mighty Reset of 2008, leaving the vast majority of Americans worse off financially than they were in the late 90's. So, no, Noonan is mistaken, it did not "all work". But you already knew that.

The only reason The Nooner made those claims was to characterize the candidacy of Bernie Sanders as out of the mainstream.....oh, did you know that Bernie was a socialist? Here, Noonan attempts to explain why older voters do not cotton to Bernie the same way that younger voters are doing....

Mr. Sanders does poorly among the old. They remember socialism. He does well among the young, who’ve just discovered it and have little to no knowledge of its effects.

I am an older voter....and I don't just "remember" socialism.....I participate in American socialism every single day...as does the Nooner. I drive on socialized roads, I sent my children to socialized schools, I spend my Social-ized Security check, I flash my socialized Medicare card, I rely on my socialized first responders all while my nation is being protected by a yuge socialized U.S. military.

Old Peg was careful with her pejorative placements.....however, what she wanted readers to take away was this....It is soft Marxism. See? Bernie Sanders is a Marxist, a communist.....and older voters "remember" communism, while younger voters do not. In this, Peggy Noonan is as predictable as the coming spring.

Purposely confusing communism with U.S. socialism is the way the Village servants of the rich hope to kill Sanders' candidacy.

Here's another prime example, this time from the bitter, pompous, bastard, Charles Krauthammer...

It’s hard to believe that the United States, having resisted the siren song of socialism during its entire 20th-century heyday (the only major democracy to do so), should suddenly succumb to its charms a generation after its intellectual demise. Indeed, the prospect of socialist Bernie Sanders, whatever his current momentum, winning the Democratic nomination remains far-fetched.

That first line is a doozy, no? What the Kraut meant in that first line was not socialism....but communism. But, you see, Sanders is not a communist....he doesn't advocate for a big central government controlling all U.S. means of production....and he never has.

Think about the Kraut's claim that America "resisted...socialism....its entire 20th century heyday". In the 20th century, the U.S. implemented FDR's Social Security program, Ike's huge socialistic interstate highway system, and LBJ's socialized Medicare system, to name only a few 20th century U.S. socialized programs. All of those programs, yes....made America great....and are still cherished by all average citizens today.

Again, Krauthammer is aware of those facts.....but he has a job to do. And that job is to protect the interests of the chosen rich few. So, like Noonan, the bitter man purposely attempts to confuse his readers.....equating Sanders' socialism with Marxist communism.

Should Bernie continue to threaten Hillary's prospects....I anticipate that the entire Village will follow the lead of the Kraut and the Nooner....disingenuously savaging Sanders as a pinko commie.

The question becomes: Why? Why try to confuse readers into believing Sanders is a communist?

Because it's time for another round of big tax cuts for the "job creators", that's why. Every Clown Candidate is promising them.

Modern U.S. media propaganda is subtle......more insidious than in simpler times. But the goal, the objective is the same. Do whatever it is you must do to protect the precious billionaire bank accounts of American oligarchs. That is why Krauthammer and Noonan wrote what they wrote about Sanders.
