Cedar Point was forced to end the fun for the thousands of guests earlier than expected Saturday night.
A water main break around 7 p.m. in the city of Sandusky disrupted the water supply to park.
With its water supply impacted by the break, Cedar Point closed early for the night citing safety concerns. The park was to have been open until midnight.
Cedar Point says the city is making the necessary repairs to the water main.
The park is asking guests to check cedarpoint.com for updates on the repair and when the park will reopen.
This is the second time this season a calamity has closed the park.
In June a severe storm toppled power poles leading into the park trapping guests for hours. The park had to close for a day while repairs were made.
A water main break in 2014 forced the park to close for two days.
