The Browns selected Arizona cornerback Trevin Wade tonight in the seventh round (No. 245 overall) of the NFL Draft.
The 5-foot-10, 192-pound Wade started all but two games during the past three years. He compiled 182 tackles, 28 pass breakups and 12 interceptions in his four collegiate seasons. Last season as a senior, he had 52 tackles, 13 pass breakups and two interceptions.
The 245th selection was one of four compensatory picks awarded to the Browns because they suffered net losses in free agency last year.
The Browns now have one pick remaining in the third and final day of the draft. Itís in the seventh round (No. 247), too, and it cannot be traded because itís also a compensatory picks.
