The Browns selected Texas linebacker Emmanuel Acho this evening in the sixth round (No. 204 overall) of the NFL Draft.

The 6-foot-2, 238-pound Acho had a team-high 131 tackles, including 19 for loss and three sacks, last season. He started all 13 games at weakside linebacker in 2011.

His brother, Sam, was drafted by the Arizona Cardinals in the fourth round last year.

The 204th selection was one of four compensatory picks the Browns were awarded because they suffered net losses in free agency last year.

The Browns now have three picks remaining in the third and final day of the draft. They are in the sixth (205) and seventh (Nos. 245 and 247) rounds. Those selections cannot be traded because they’re also compensatory picks.
