The NFL Draft is less than a month away, so it's time to start mocking it to the best of our abilities.

Fellow Beacon Journal sports writer Ryan Lewis has joined me this year in this fun but often futile exercise.

The Browns have the sixth overall pick, so we'll mock the top 10. Each Thursday, a new version will be posted. The draft begins April 25.

Below is our first mock of the year.

Nate Ulrich

1. Kansas City Chiefs Texas A&M OT Luke Joeckel

2. Jacksonville Jaguars West Virginia QB Geno Smith

3. Oakland Raiders Florida DT Sharrif Floyd

4. Philadelphia Eagles Oregon OLB/DE Dion Jordan

5. Detroit Lions Brigham Young OLB/DE Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah

6. Browns Alabama CB Dee Milliner

Comment: The Browns desperately need a cornerback who can start opposite Joe Haden next season, and they have yet to acquire a bona fide starter via free agency. Milliner would fill a significant void right away. If the Browns don't pick him here, they'll likely target a pass rusher. Also, don't be surprised if they try to trade down.

7. Arizona Cardinals Central Michigan OT Eric Fisher

8. Buffalo Bills Southern California QB Matt Barkley

9. New York Jets Louisiana State OLB Barkevious Mingo

10. Tennessee Titans Alabama G Chance Warmack

6. Browns Alabama CB Dee Milliner

Comment: Milliner could very well be the pick to the Eagles at No. 4 or the Lions at No. 5, but if he lasts to the Browns he steps into a starting role at cornerback, fills a major need and creates quite the tandem opposite Joe Haden.

7. Arizona Cardinals Oklahoma OT Lane Johnson

9. New York Jets Brigham Young OLB/DE Ezekiel "Ziggy" Ansah
