Aeros 7, SeaWolves 1

Thomas Neal hit a solo home run, Matt Lawson hit a two-run triple and the host Aeros used a five-run fourth inning to defeat the SeaWolves in an Eastern League game at Canal Park.

Neal broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the fourth with a solo home run and was followed three batters later by Lawson’s two-run triple. Jordan Henry singled home Lawson and Juan Diaz singled home Henry to give the Aeros a 5-0 lead. The Aeros added a run in the fifth on a bases-loaded walk and a run in the sixth on an RBI double by Adam Abraham. Starting pitcher Brett Brach (3-3) went seven innings and gave up one run on four hits and struck out three for the win.


Pitchers Steven Wright and Kyle Landis, outfielder Thomas Neal and first baseman Chun Chen will represent the Aeros in the Eastern League All-Star game on July 11 in Reading, Pa.
