Aeros 9, Curve 0

The Aeros hit four home runs on the road Saturday to improve to 67-72 with two games remaining in the season.

Ronny Rodriguez got the Aeros on the board in the fifth inning with an RBI groundout following three consecutive walks.

Carlos Moncrief, Matt Lawson and Adam Abraham then hit three home runs in four at-bats in a five-run sixth inning to blow the game open.

Rodriguez homered in the eighth, driving in three on his fifth dinger of the season.

Matt Packer earned the win for the Aeros, going six shutout innings, striking out three and allowing six hits and two walks.

Packer improves to 12-9 with the win.

Kyle Crockett, Austin Adams and Jeff Johnson worked three scoreless innings of relief, striking out six and allowing only one baserunner on a Crockett walk.

David Bromberg was the pitcher of record for the Curve (62-78), falling to 6-12.

He threw five innings of relief following Jason Grilliís one inning rehab appearance.

Bromberg allowed six earned runs on five hits and three walks, allowing three of the Aeros home runs.

He struck out five.
