Eastern Michiganís Tavelyn James scored 31 points to lead the Eagles offensively, and Akron put up its lowest point total of the season in falling to the host Eagles 91-46 Saturday afternoon.


Akron (9-13, 3-5) shot 24.5 percent from the field and 25 percent from 3-point range. The Zips were also outrebounded 59-34.


Carly Young and Candace Martino led the Zips with eight points each. Young also had five rebounds and two blocks.


Eastern Michigan (14-7, 6-2) shot 44.7 percent from the field and opened up a 51-19 lead over the first half.


EMUís Natachia Watkins scored 26 points to go along with 13 rebounds, three assists and three steals.


Paige Redditt also had a double-double with 12 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for EMU.


This was Akronís lowest point total since its 62-58 loss at Bowling Green.
