Baysox 4, Aeros 2

The Bowie Baysox scored two runs in the top of the 10th inning to defeat the Aeros in the first game of a scheduled Eastern League doubleheader at Canal Park on Friday night.

The Aeros scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to take a 2-0 lead, but the Baysox answered in the top of the fifth with two runs to tie the score.

The Aeros had several chances to score but went 2-for-11 with runners in scoring position and left six men on base in the game.

Juan Diaz had a two-run single and Thomas Neal had two hits to lead the Aeros. Jordan Henry, Tyler Holt and Nick Weglarz each had a single for the Aeros.

Aeros starting pitcher Paolo Espino went 6? innings and gave up two runs on six hits and struck out five in the no decision. Relief pitcher Kyle Landis pitched the ninth and tenth inning and gave up two runs and took the loss.

The Aeros host the Baysox at 7:05 tonight. The game will be broadcast on WARF (1350-AM).
