The Indians went .500 in two Cactus League games on Sunday afternoon, falling to the Milwaukee Brewers 5-4 and beating the Kansas City Royals 3-1 in split-squad action.

Against the Brewers, Francisco Lindor led off the first inning with a home run, his third of the spring. Jason Kipnis didn’t hit a home run — which is noteworthy because of his torrid start to the spring — but went 2-for-3 with a triple.

Carlos Carrasco tossed three scoreless innings, allowing only one hit and striking out six. Cody Allen and Andrew Miller each followed with a scoreless inning before non-roster invitee Matt Belisle was roughed up for two runs on six hits in two innings.

Adam Plutko, who allowed two hits and three runs in two-thirds of an inning, took the loss.

Against the Royals, starter Ryan Merritt threw two scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out two.

Roberto Perez and Brandon Barnes both hit home runs, and Yandy Diaz went 2-for-3.
