The Browns signed tight end Julian Allen and defensive lineman Lenny Jones on Sunday after they both participated in the team's rookie minicamp on a tryout basis.

Allen, a 6-foot-3 and 245-pound rookie, compiled 22 catches for 298 yards in two seasons at Southern Mississippi.

Jones, 6-2 and 256 pounds, entered the NFL in 2016 when the San Francisco 49ers signed him as an undrafted free agent. He has spent time on the practice squads of the Los Angeles Rams and Los Angeles Chargers.

He finished his collegiate career at Nevada ranked fifth in school history in sacks (19) and 10th in tackles for loss (31.5).
