Mount Union 43, Ohio Northern 14

No. 2-ranked Mount Union’s defense held Ohio Northern in check, and the unbeaten Purple Raiders won an Ohio Athletic Conference game at home Saturday.

Mount (4-0, 3-0) forced three turnovers and scored on an interception by defensive back Gabe Brown. Mount Union held Ohio Northern (2-2, 1-2) to a season-low 214 yards for the game.

Quarterback D’Angelo Fulford threw two touchdowns and ran for two more. He threw for 206 yards on 11-of-17 passing and ran for 47 yards to lead the offense.

Wabash 33, Wooster 28

The Scots almost pulled an upset of visiting, 25th-ranked Wabash. Wooster (3-2 overall, 2-2 North Coast Athletic Conference) held a 28-27 lead going into the fourth quarter that it could not hold.

Christian Santos’ interception gave Wooster the ball back with 2:23 left in the game, but the Scots could not move the ball on the Little Giants (4-0, 3-0).

Gary Muntean threw four touchdown passes and for 229 yards in a losing effort.

Findlay 47, Walsh 3

Findlay’s offense overwhelmed the Cavaliers (0-5, 0-1 Great Midwest Athletic Conference) at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton. The Oilers (4-1, 1-0) tallied 548 yards on offense. Walsh could only muster 183 yards and a first-quarter Kasty Tingler field goal.

Allegheny 57, Hiram 40

The Gators scored six touchdowns of over 20 yards to win an NCAC shootout over visiting Hiram (1-3, 0-3).

Hiram had early leads of 13-0 and 19-15. The Terriers totaled 229 yards through the air and 229 yards on the ground.

Ohio Dominican 20, Malone 3

Malone remained winless, dropping a GMAC game in Canton. The Pioneers (0-4, 0-1) totaled 352 yards of offense but could not reach the end zone.
