The University of Akron extended its program-best winning streak to 11 games with a home win against Miami on Wednesday evening.

Seniors Hanna Luburgh and Rachel Tecca led the Zips with 28 and 21 points, respectively.

Tecca also had 10 rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Luburgh scored 24 points in the first half as the Zips (18-8, 12-3 Mid-American Conference) secured a commanding 48-29 advantage at halftime.

Tecca scored 13 of her 21 points in the second half to help to secure the victory for the Zips.

Kacie Cassell set up most of the scoring for Tecca and Luburgh with a game-high 13 assists. She also had seven points.

Hannah Robertson led the RedHawks (7-19, 3-12) with 12 points. Hannah McCue added 11 off the bench.
