Curve 4, RubberDucks 3

Jin-De Jhang’s single in the bottom of the ninth inning scored pinch runner Elvis Escobar and lifted the Curve over the RubberDucks on Thursday in Altoona, Pa.

It was the second consecutive day the Curve (25-24) defeated the Ducks (31-23) on a walk-off hit.

Joe Sever, Daniel Salters and Tom Ka’ai each had two hits and Bobby Bradley hit a solo home run for the Ducks, who tied the game at 3-3 on Tyler Krieger’s sacrifice fly in the ninth.

Sean Brady started and pitched six innings for the Ducks, allowing three earned runs on five hits with five strikeouts and two walks. David Speer worked two perfect innings in relief before Mitch Brown (1-3) surrendered two hits in the ninth to take the loss.
