Junior Jaclyn Dutton scored two goals and the Kent State women’s soccer team defeated Ball State 2-0 on Friday at Zoeller Field in Kent.


Dutton scored in the 19th minute on a penalty kick and again in the 29th minute off an assist from sophomore Stephanie Haugh. Dutton now leads the Mid-American Conference with 10 goals this season.


Freshman goalkeeper Stephanie Senn had four saves in her third shutout of the season. The Golden Flashes (6-2-2, 1-1-1) host Miami at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
