Flying Squirrels 2, RubberDucks 1

The Richmond Flying Squirrels finished a two-out rally in the eighth inning with a bases-loaded hit batter in a 2-1 Eastern League win over the visiting RubberDucks on Sunday.

With the scored tied 1-1, Ducks reliever Argenis Angulo replaced Kieran Lovegrove and got the first two hitters out.

Singles by C.J. Hinojosa and Ryan Howard and a walk by Dylan Davis loaded the bases. Angulo then hit Aramis Garcia with a pitch to force in the go-ahead run.

Garcia homered in the fourth off Ducks starter Triston McKenzie to give the Flying Squirrels a 1-0 lead, but the RubberDucks tied it in the fifth on a home run by Bobby Bradley, his 17th of the season.

McKenzie allowed one run on two hits, walked two and struck out six in six innings.

Shaun Anderson (6-5) earned the win with three scoreless innings of relief of starter Chase Johnson.
