Tallmadge 55, Copley 53

Tallmadge came back from a 28-20 halftime deficit to post a Suburban League American Conference win at Copley on Saturday afternoon.

Andreana Gotto hit the go-ahead layup with eight seconds to play, breaking a 53-53 tie. Copley’s attempt at a game-tying shot at the buzzer failed.

Jordyn Severns and Sara Johnson each scored 16 points for the Blue Devils (7-8, 4-4).

Cuyahoga Falls 44, Hudson 43

Forward Kayla Huffman hit the go-ahead free throw with five seconds to play to give the Black Tigers the one-point Suburban League home win. It was the only lead of the game for Cuyahoga Falls (9-8, 4-7). Huffman finished with a team-high 13 points.

The Tigers’ Emma Brustoski tied the score at 43-43 after she stole the ball and scored her only two points of the game with 20 seconds left. Huffman and Hannah Merten (10 points) combined to score 11 of Cuyahoga Falls’ 17 fourth-quarter points.

Revere 52, Kent Roosevelt 48

It was a two-player Suburban League shootout between Taylor Rinn and Kayla Fischer in Kent. Rinn scored 27 points to lead the Minutemen to an American Conference win despite Fischer’s game-high 30 points for the Rough Riders.

Stow 36, Twinsburg 34

Emily Andrassy hit two late free throws to preserve a Suburban League win for the host Bulldogs (15-2, 9-1). Andrassy finished with nine points and Lexi Petit had 10.

Canton McKinley 68, North Canton Hoover 40

Kiersten Bell and Chamera Young combined to outscore the Vikings (8-11, 4-5) in the Bulldogs’ Federal League home win. Bell scored 28 points and Young added 17 for the Bulldogs (17-1, 9-1).

Cloverleaf 45, Woodridge 26

Helaina Limas scored 22 points to lead the Colts (14-2, 9-1) to a Portage Trail Conference Metro Division home win.

Aniya Rashid put up 18 points for Woodridge (4-12, 1-8).

Medina 61, Euclid 41

Medina’s Lindsey Linard scored 14 points and blocked three shots to lead the Bees (10-6, 5-6) to a 20-point Greater Cleveland Conference victory.

St. Vincent-St. Mary 53, GlenOak 51

In the final minute of the game, freshman Dream Cherry scored her only points by connecting on three free throws to secure a win for the Irish (12-5).

Faith Williams and Maria Dobson led St. V-M with 11 points each. Aniyah Hall led GlenOak with 15 points.

Buchtel 53, Cle. East Tech 51 (OT)

The Griffins (11-7) got 18 points apiece from Imani Jackson and Javaan Rogers to earn an overtime nonleague win.

Lake Cent. Christian 51, Garrettsville 38

The Tigers improved to 6-7 overall and 3-3 in the PTC as Payton Triplett and Jacob Ickes scored 18 and 17 points, respectively.

Green 65, North Canton Hoover 35

Guard Kaleb Martin poured in 30 points, including six 3-pointers, as the Bulldogs posted a Federal League win on the road. Garrison Keeslar chipped in 11 points for the Bulldogs.

St. Thomas Aquinas 52, Alliance 47

Garrett Repp’s 15 points led the Knights to a nonleague win at Alliance.

Tallmadge 70, Canton South 58

Matthew Francesconi scored 27 points to spark Tallmadge (10-3) to a nonleague win at home. Zach Boyd added 13 points.

Woodridge 2,596, Ravenna 2,284

Austin Fleming rolled a two-game series of 473 in the Bulldogs’ PTC win at Legend Lanes. Kyle Schneider added a 440 series for Woodridge.

Wrestling

Minuteman Duals

Marcus Davis (182 pounds), Kaymen Andrews (195) and Chavion Young (220) won the top three weight classes in Alliance’s 46-21 victory over host Revere en route to a team title at the Minuteman Duals.

Alliance went 5-0 on the day. Revere was second with a 4-1 record. Marlington was third.

Stefan Farian (160) and Jack Baker (170) each won all five of their matches for Revere.
