Ellet improved to 15-8 overall, taking out a City Series foe in the Barberton Division I sectional.

Stephen Zampelli led four Orangemen who scored in double figures with 22 points. Ellet advanced to a sectional final matchup with Green on Saturday night.

Highland 55, Cuyahoga Falls 43

Senior forward Ryan Frederick hit four 3-pointers to finish with 12 points in Highland’s Division I sectional victory. Collin Rittman contributed 11 points for the 15-8 Hornets. Highland will next face No. 2 seed Archbishop Hoban in Saturday’s sectional final.

Paris Blackshear had 10 points for the Black Tigers (6-17).

Copley 66, Kent Roosevelt 33

Copley (17-6) got 21 points from Brian Roberts Jr. and 16 from Anthony Dente in a Barberton Division I sectional semifinal win.

Walsh Jesuit 66, North 29

The Warriors advanced to face Copley in a No. 4-No. 5 matchup in a Barberton Division I sectional final Saturday. Benjamin Merril scored 24 points in the blowout victory.

Twinsburg 57, Bedford 38

Darrell Newsom’s 24 points led the Tigers (19-4) to a win over Bedford (0-23) in a Solon Division I sectional semifinal.

GlenOak 66, Barberton 63

After Barberton tied the game 63-63 at the free-throw line, Kindel Richardson’s banked in a 3-pointer with nine-tenths of a second left to give the Golden Eagles a Canton Division I sectional semifinal win. Barberton’s desperation 3-pointer at the buzzer missed as GlenOak advanced to play Federal League rival Jackson.

Chippewa 59, Northwestern 39

The Chipps, ranked No. 4 in the final AP Division III state poll, improved to 24-0 with an easy win in the Wooster district semifinal.

Celina Koncz scored 24 points and Grace Lindquis added 15 for Chippewa. Koncz also had a game-high 10 rebounds. The Chipps will face second-seeded Orrville in Saturday’s district final at Wooster High School.

Orrville 65, Loudonville 55

The Red Riders advanced to face top-seeded Chippewa in the Wooster Division III district final.

Dalton 66, Mogadore 47

Emma Cannon’s 22 points and Makenna Geiser’s 17 helped the Bulldogs dispatch Mogadore in a Norwayne Division IV district semifinal. Erika Johnson led all scorers with 23 points for Mogadore.
