Senior right-hander Jake Lemmon tied a career-high with 12 strikeouts, as North improved to 4-5 in a nonleague road game. Spencer Pearson and Paul Roberts each had two hits for the Vikings.

Kyle Armbrecht scattered four hits over six innings of work to even his record at 1-1. The visiting Rockets (6-9, 5-1) had six hits, led by Chase Glainsky’s single and double and Ethan Flick’s triple, for a Portage Trail Conference-County Division win.

Stow 3, Cuyahoga Falls 1

At Water Works Park, Jeremy Parton gave up one run on five hits to improve to 2-1 in the Bulldogs’ Northeast Ohio Conference win over the Black Tigers (6-7, 2-4). Stow hit six singles and Andrew Groves had a double to improve to 5-10, 1-5.

Dalton 5, Rittman 3

Patrick McGinty threw a complete game for the host Bulldogs, who scored four unearned runs in a Wayne County Athletic League game. Corey Hileman and Caleb Manley, batting one-two atop of the Dalton (13-6, 7-2) batting order, combined for five of the Bulldogs’ eight hits.

The Pirates fought off a seventh-inning rally to hold on for a PTC-County Division victory over visiting Mogadore. Alyssa Spicer and Victoria Tarter each drove in two runs for Southeast.

Julie Campbell and Jenna Williams each had two singles and the host Panthers (9-7, 6-0) had nine hits, in a Principals’ Athletic Conference win over the Titans (6-10, 4-4).
