Corey Earnsberger tripled in his first three at-bats for the host Indians (7-9) to help them split a doubleheader with the Bulldogs (8-5) on Saturday.

TD Culp hit a three-run home run for the Indians and Jake Hyrne had two singles and a double, driving in two and scoring twice.

McKinley won the first game 6-2 led by Romero Harrisí three-run double.

Culp had two singles and two RBI in the first game for Northwest.

West Branch 6,?Southeast 5 (9)

The host Warriors (8-5) won on a passed ball with two out in the bottom of the ninth.

Kyle Ziegler and Jake Smith led the Warriors with two singles each. Ziegler drove in a run.

The Pirates (9-5) were led by Nick Tarterís three singles. Ryan Polichena singled and doubled and Corey Postva had two singles along with an RBI.

Hudson 10, Nordonia 7

The host Explorers came back from a 5-0 deficit to improve to 12-1.

The Explorers took the lead with a six-run fifth inning.

Sam Evans led the Explorers with two singles, a triple, three RBI and two runs.

Nick Nolan paced the Knights (6-10) with a two-run double.

Firestone 3,?Cuyahoga Falls 2

After the host Falcons lost the first game of a doubleheader 12-1, Alexis Lee held the Black Tigers to two runs over seven innings.

Junior Madi Wellendorf led the Falcons (6-5) at the plate in the second game with a single, double and two runs. Meredith Eichenlaub and Hanna Hollis each added two singles.

The Black Tigers (7-5) were led by sophomore Kate Lukasovichís three singles in the second game.

Brecksville 4,?Brunswick 3 (8)

Senior Nicole Best drove in Perris Stevens in the bottom of the eighth inning for a victory at the Prebis Tournament in LaGrange.

The hit was one of Bestís three singles. She drove in two. Stevens had a single, double and an RBI for the Bees (15-2).

Junior Erin Calhoun led the Blue Devils (7-5) with two singles and a double.

Senior Jess Calhoun added two singles and two RBI.

Brecksville won its second game by beating Walsh Jesuit 9-3.
