St. Vincent-St. Mary 73, Orange 51

The first and third quarter were the difference as the Fighting Irish moved on to the Division II Nordonia district championship game.

The Irish (17-7) jumped out to a 22-7 advantage after one quarter and used an 18-8 third quarter to bust the game open and secure a district final appearance.

Four St. V-M players reached double figures in scoring. Faith Williams was the leader with 16 points and Aubrie Marsh contributed 13.

Kendall Miller and Maria Dobson added 12 points each to help the Irish move on to face No. 1-seed Laurel.

GlenOak 51, Massillon 36

The Golden Eagles outscored the Tigers 22-10 in the second half to secure a spot in the Division I Canton district final against Federal League rival Jackson.

In the final quarter, GlenOak (16-7) scored 10 of its 12 points from the foul line while Massillon only managed two points the entire quarter.

GlenOak’s Addison Mucci and Jade Abdulla each scored a game-high 14 points.

Massillon (15-9) was paced by Kaylee Pierce’s 11 points and Tamia Ridley chipped in 10.

Jackson 57, North Canton Hoover 42

After an unusually slow start for the Polar Bears, Taylor Mikesell sparked the offense and took over to help Jackson advance to the Division I Canton district final.

Following a cold first quarter that saw Jackson (19-4) hold a 6-2 lead, Mikesell poured in 20 points the rest of the way to finish with 23 points and five made 3-pointers.

Margaux Spencer recorded 12 more points for the Polar Bears.

Annie Roshak and MaKenzie Green each scored a team-high 10 points for Hoover, which finished with an 11-13 overall record.
