Stow 4, Revere 3

The Bulldogs scored four first-half goals and then held off the visiting Minutemen in a Suburban League match Monday.

Emily Andrassy scored twice and Gracie Merriman and McKenzie Klingensmith each scored in the first 40 minutes for Stow. The Bulldogs improved to 6-5 overall and 1-3 in the Suburban League.

Revere (2-8-1, 1-3-0) scored with about 15 minutes left in the game to cut the Stow lead to one.

North Canton Hoover 8, Firestone 1

Three goals by Lesley Kiesling and four assists by Emily Schaefer keyed an easy win for the Vikings (9-0-1), the state’s ninth-ranked Division I team.

Ellet 6, Bedford 1

A hat trick by Blake Armsey sparked Ellet to a nonleague win. Armsey also had an assist, while Morghan Tucker had three saves and a goal for the Orangemen (8-4).

Boys soccer

Manchester 8, Tuslaw 1

Returning all-state second team member Gabe Sharrock scored twice and recorded an assist as the Panthers remained unbeaten. Manchester is now 9-0-1 overall and 7-0-1 in the PAC-8. Tuslaw dropped to 1-9-1 and 0-7-1.

Orrville 4, Fairless 0

Nick McFarren scored the Red Riders’ final goal off an assist by his brother Tyler. It was the only score of the second half.

Volleyball

Archbishop Hoban 3, Tusky Central Catholic 0

Sam Wentz’s 27 assists and three service aces led the Knights (5-7) to a 25-13, 25-14 and 25-22 win at home.

Tennis

Norton 5, Chippewa 1

Straight set wins by the Panthers’ top two singles players, Casey Clark and Spencer Clark, helped Norton improve to 15-2 overall.

St. Vincent-St. Mary 5, Field 0

Ada Wyszynski and Maura O’Connor came back from being down 6-4 to prevail 6-0 and 10-8 in a tiebreaker at No. 1 doubles for the Irish.

Our Lady of the Elms 3, Hudson 2

The Panthers got past visiting Hudson as Stefanie Wyszkowski and Kayla Testa posted singles wins for Our Lady of the Elms (5-10).

Louisville 3, Lake 2

Singles victories by Tori Esposito, Kennedy Keister and Jo Menegay helped the Leopards improve to 10-5 overall.

North Canton Hoover 4, Brecksville 1

Hallie Hunt’s 6-2, 6-0 No. 1 singles victory keyed the state’s ninth-ranked Division I team to a win at Brecksville. The Vikings improved to 18-1 overall.

CVCA 4, Woodridge 1

Lauren Yee picked up a point for the Royals with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles.
