Kent State recruit Tucker Linder struck out 11 in going the distance for the visiting Blue Devils (12-5, 9-1), who remain in first place in the Suburban League by a game.

Senior third baseman Matt Shomo and junior center fielder Cordt Skraba each had two singles and two RBI for Tallmadge.

Senior Jerry Scholle (6-2) threw a five-hitter, doubled twice, and scored a run and senior Chad Sedio had a double and RBI for the host Hornets (16-4, 8-2), who took possession of second place in the Suburban League.

Junior second baseman Cody Hargett doubled, tripled, scored twice and drove in two runs and junior pitcher Adam Gray (2-2) had two singles and two RBI for the host Knights (11-8, 6-2 North Coast League).

CVCA 13, Manchester 7

Junior Parker Batista homered and drove in two runs, junior Kyle Edmonds had three hits, including a triple and an RBI, and senior David Gray had three hits and scored three runs for the host Royals (10-9, 6-4 PAC-7).

Southeast 14,?Mogadore 4 (5 innings)

Zach Morgan and Santana Barrera each had four RBI and Nick Myers had a double and two RBI as the host Pirates (8-6, 7-1) scored 10 runs in the bottom of the fifth inning to shorten the game.

Springfield 4, Crestwood 3

The host Spartans (11-4, 8-0) remain undefeated in PTC Metro Division play as juniors Lydia Sanner, Sarah Stubbs and freshman Laura Stubbs each had a single and a double.

Stow 11, Solon 5

Sophomore first baseman Danielle Tiller hit two singles, scored twice, and drove in two runs, and junior catcher Lindsay Jones had two singles and an RBI for Stow.

Freshman pitcher Sadie Jones (13-4) had three singles and scored a run for the host Bulldogs (13-4, 6-0 NOC).

Northwest 6,?Canton McKinley 5

The host Indians (7-10) scored six runs in the bottom of the sixth inning featuring a two-run double by Judy Hrisk. Anna Sharier had a single, double and an RBI for Northwest.

Twinsburg 3, Mentor 1

Freshman left fielder Megan Brown had two singles and an RBI, and both sophomore Kourtney Paul and junior Nicole Markey singled and doubled for the host Tigers (8-8, 3-2 NOC).

Orrville 8, Lexington 1

Junior Logan Lehman and senior Mallory Partee each blasted a home run, and Maggie Johnson, Emily Miller, Jacque Ray and Alex Abel each had two hits for the host Red Riders (16-2, 10-0 Ohio Cardinal Conference).

Field 9, Norton 2

Taylor Lindsey had three RBI for the visiting Falcons (9-8, 5-3 Portage Trail Conference Metro Division).

Tennis

Jackson 5, Green 0

The Polar Bears (8-3) got singles victories from seniors Nate Gardner and Nikhail Perekh. Jackson’s winning doubles tandems were Ben Shaheen and Mark Dickerhoof along with Brenden Connors and Abhisher Bhargava.

Revere 3, CVCA 2

Noah Hendrickson won at second singles, George Michalos and Brian Carano took first doubles and Frank Jin and Kyle Gersman were winners at second doubles for the Minutemen (11-2).
