Senior Jarad Pennington started off with an intense first singles, winning 7-6 (9-7), 6-3.

Two sets of brothers captured doubles wins for the Indians (14-1, 7-0): Austin and Gavin Aten and Matt and Nick Adzema.

The Rough Riders improved their record to 4-1 with a win over their Portage Trail Conference rival.

Richard Underwood won his second singles match 6-2, 5-7, 7-6 (3).

Ben Fetters also took home a singles victory, and the doubles teams of Danylo Lavrentovich and Michael Burkey, and Paul Silver and Alastair Seed were victorious.

Senior starting pitcher Jake Czerwinski tossed a complete game one-hitter, improving to 4-0 for the visiting Greenmen (13-3, 6-1).

He struck out three Pirates (7-9) and walked one, allowing one earned run.

Senior right fielder Tyler Thomas led the Greenmen at the plate with two doubles and a run.

Senior Sean Trexler and sophomore Jordan Burns each singled twice for the visiting Knights to improve to 11-7, 6-1 in the North Coast League.

Junior Travis Pero started on the mound and earned the victory, evening his record at 2-2.

The Bengals fell to 8-9, 2-5 with the loss.
