The fourth-seeded Red Devils pulled off a minor upset by defeating the third-seeded Fighting Irish in an OHSAA Division II Regional Semifinal.

Sophomore Ricky Kollman had the lone pin for the Red Devils in the 160-pound weight class in 1:59.

Conner Nemec, Marcus Howells and Garrett Gerardi all recorded decisions for the Red Devils.

Perry 56, Lake 15

The top-seeded Panthers defeated the second-seeded Blue Streaks in an OHSAA Division I Regional Semifinal.

Thomas Genetin, Jose Rod, David Bavery, Jo Jo Tayse, Chris Rubby and Stephano Millan all had pins for the Panthers, who are ranked second in the state in Division I.

Girls basketball

North Canton Hoover 36,?Canton McKinley 34

The host Vikings (14-4, 10-1) outscored their Federal League rivals 11-6 in the fourth quarter to widen their lead atop the conference standings.

Junior guard Kelsey Lensman paced the Vikings with 21 points.

Marquia Turner and Ronnyell Hogan each scored 10 for the second-place Bulldogs (13-4, 9-2).

Archbishop Hoban 39,?New Philadelphia 34

Senior center Meghan Donohue led all scorers with 16 points for the host Knights (13-4).

Emma Horning made two free throws with 0.9 of a second remaining to seal the game.

Sophomore Jaida Carter paced the Quakers (10-10) with 10 points.

Norton 60, Field 39

Senior forward Cara Cook scored 20 points for the host Panthers (13-6, 10-1), putting her over 1,000 points for her career.

Cook also led the Panthers with 10 rebounds.

Tiffany Spaller paced the Falcons (12-6, 7-4) with 13 points.

Coventry 50, Streetsboro 44

Sophomore guard Chloe Baird led all scorers with 18 points for the visiting Comets.

Senior guard Kristi Morisak added 11 for Coventry.

Sophomore Alison Taorgosky paced the Rockets with 17 points.
