Host Manchester was behind 30-29 to Norton at halftime, but outscored their opponent 53-24 in the second half to even their record at 1-1.

Alex Klein led the comeback with a game-high 23 points for Manchester.

Supporting players were Emma Kreakbaum (16 points), Kayci Krzynowek (12), Grier Cowles (11) and Brittany Porter (11).

Brooke Robinson and Dayna Rabatin led Norton with 21 and 19 points, respectively.

The host Rough Riders could not gain any ground on the Minutemen in the second half, as the teams posted identical totals of 10 and 15 points in the third and fourth quarters.

Camryn Brown and Caitlin Vari combined for nearly all of the scoring for the Minutemen (1-1) with 21 points each.

Vari also grabbed 12 rebounds.

Brianna Rock led the Rough Riders (0-2) with 15 points.

Four Fighting Irish players scored in double digits as they cruised to an easy victory, improving to 2-0.

Kiley May led all scorers with 15 points. Jordan Korinek had 12 points and seven rebounds. Lexie Handley and Jane Uecker each added 11 points.

Wooster 83, Buchtel 23

Senior Paige Dickerhoof scored 23 points as the host Generals (1-0) stormed past the Griffins (0-2) in their season tip-off.

Gabby Cicolani added 18 points and Sarah Cairne scored 16.

West Branch 52,?Canfield 50

After taking a 35-26 lead into halftime, the Warriors had to hold off a fourth-quarter comeback attempt to escape with a victory.

Pavin Heath led all scorers with 20 points for the Warriors (2-0). Melinda Trimmer added 11 points and nine assists.

The Cardinals outscored the Warriors 14-5 in the fourth quarter.
