Nordonia, basketball

Barnes, a freshman, scored in double digits in each of the past four games for Nordonia, which is 15-2. She had 19 points and six rebounds in a 49-45 win over Stow, 18 points and six rebounds in a 72-51 victory over Copley, 22 points and 12 rebounds in a 64-41 triumph over Brecksville and 19 points and seven rebounds in a 57-41 win over Twinsburg. She also averaged 3.5 steals and 3.0 assists during that stretch.

REED BECKER

Norton, basketball

Becker, a senior guard, led Norton to two wins last week with 17 points against Smithville (69-64) and 33 points against Cloverleaf (83-55). He made 19-of-27 field-goal attempts, including a school-record nine 3-pointers versus Cloverleaf. He entered the week with 43 3-pointers.

CARSON KEENAN

Archbishop Hoban, bowling.

Keenan, a junior, helped Hoban to a 10-1 record with a recent head-to-head win over East Canton and Tallmadge and two wins over CVCA. He posted a 633 series over three games in the Rootstown Sectional Preview Tournament, and has compiled two-game series of 384 and 455 in consecutive wins over CVCA, and two-game series of 435 against Tallmadge and 419 against East Canton.

PETE NANCE

Revere, basketball.

Nance, a sophomore forward, posted consecutive double-doubles last week with 18 points, 14 rebounds and three assists in a 63-60 loss to Cleveland Benedictine and 19 points, 15 rebounds and four assists in a 54-50 win over Highland. He made 13-of-25 field-goal attempts and 11-of-13 free throws during the two games.

LUKE WYMER

St. Vincent-St. Mary, wrestling.

Wymer, a sophomore, won the 126-pound championship Saturday in impressive fashion at the Josh Hephner Memorial Wrestling Tournament at Austintown Fitch High School. He compiled an 8-0 record in the two-day tournament with six pins and one technical fall to bring his overall season record to 28-6.
