Baughman, a junior, qualified for the Division I state tournament by placing first in the 138-pound weight class at the district tournament at North Canton Hoover. Baughman posted a 4-0 record at the tournament with wins over opponents from Solon, Madison, Green and Stow as Wadsworth won the team district title. He recorded three pins and one major decision, and takes a 42-4 season record to Columbus.
Diese, a sophomore, made a game-winning 3-pointer at the buzzer to propel Jackson to a 44-41 victory over GlenOak in a Division I district championship game at the Canton Memorial Field House. She scored 11 points in the game for the Polar Bears, who entered the regional bracket with a 21-4 overall record.
Lindquist, a junior, totaled 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead undefeated Chippewa to a 50-33 victory over Orrville in a Division III district championship game at Wooster High School. The Chipps entered the regional bracket with a 25-0 record.
Massey, a senior, advanced to the Division II state tournament by placing first in the 126-pound weight class at the district tournament at Alliance. He compiled a 4-0 record with wins over opponents from Springfield, Girard, Coventry and Mentor Lake Catholic. He won on a technical fall, a major decision, a decision in regulation and a decision in a tiebreaker, and takes a 44-2 season record to Columbus.
White, a sophomore, advanced to the Division III state tournament by placing first in the 120-pound weight class at the district tournament at Garfield Heights. He compiled a 4-0 record with wins over opponents from Brookfield, Crestwood, Gates Mills Hawken and Kirtland. He recorded two pins and two victories by decision, and takes a 30-6 season record to Columbus.
