Baka, a senior, played a key role along Hudsonís defensive front as the Explorers defeated Mayfield 31-6 on Nov. 20 in a Division II regional final at Solonís Stewart Field. He made six solo tackles, assisted on four tackles and had one sack. Hudsonís defense finished with 11 sacks in the game.

Stow, football

Board, a senior, made contributions on offense and defense to help Stow defeat Lewis Center Olentangy 38-16 Saturday in a Division I regional semifinal at Mansfieldís Arlin Field. He intercepted a pass and returned the ball 25 yards in the first quarter to set up a field goal, and caught a short pass from junior quarterback Kyle Vantrease and sprinted down the sideline for a 42-yard touchdown with 2:10 remaining in the second quarter.

ANTHONY CHRISTIAN

Archbishop Hoban, football

Christian, a senior, grabbed an interception and returned the ball 22 yards for a touchdown with 7:55 to go in the fourth quarter to help Hoban defeat rival St. Vincent-St. Mary 24-21 Friday in a Division III regional final at the University of Akronís InfoCision Stadium. He also caught two passes from junior quarterback Danny Clark for 13 yards, and finished with eight solo tackles and two assisted tackles.

NATE CONFERE

Mogadore, football

Confere, a senior, converted from offensive tackle to center Nov. 20 because of injuries and helped Mogadore beat Warren John F. Kennedy 35-7 in a Division VII regional final at Twinsburg. He recovered a fumble in the end zone for a touchdown in the second half, and finished with four tackles on defense.

NATALIE MILLER

Norton, basketball.

Miller, a senior, scored in double figures twice to guide Norton to a 2-0 record to open the season. She scored 19 points in Nortonís 70-48 win over visiting Barberton on Nov. 20 and scored 15 points in Nortonís 63-38 victory over Crestwood in the Turkey Tip-Off Classic in Green on Saturday. Between the two games, she made 9-of-16 shots from beyond the 3-point arc.
