Dario, a junior, guided Ellet to wins over Kenmore and North. She totaled 15 kills, four service aces, 11 digs, five blocks and four assists against Kenmore. In one set, she helped Ellet overcome a 23-17 deficit with five kills and two blocks to tie the score, and then had two service aces to win 25-23. She finished with nine kills, three aces, three blocks, four digs and three assists against North.
Gurung, a senior goalkeeper, helped North defeat Firestone 1-0 and St. Vincent-St. Mary 2-1 last week. He made seven saves against the Falcons in a win that vaulted the Vikings to the top spot in the City Series standings.
Kohmann, a junior, led Revere to victories over Barberton (3-0), Highland (3-0), Cleveland Villa Angela-St. Joseph (2-1) and Independence (2-1) last week. She totaled 102 assists, 40 service points, 24 digs, six kills and six aces as Revere improved to 12-4 overall and 7-0 in the Suburban League American Conference.
KING ALFRED SANDERS
Sanders, a senior, was a major contributor in Woodridge’s 70-0 victory over Streetsboro. He rushed for 142 yards and four touchdowns in the first half, scoring on runs of 1, 31, 21 and 12 yards, for a Bulldogs team that reached the midway point of the regular season at 5-0.
Sibley, a junior, scored four touchdowns in Coventry’s 42-21 win over Field. He rushed 12 times for 194 yards and three touchdowns, had one reception for 13 yards, made seven tackles, intercepted one pass and gained 86 yards on two kickoff returns, one of which he took 76 yards for a touchdown. His rushing scores were 3, 53 and 80 yards.
