Kavon Gainer made a 3-point field goal with one second remaining in overtime to give the visiting Black Tigers (8-8, 3-6) a Suburban League-National Conference win over the Grizzlies (3-12, 2-7).

Wadsworth sophomore Christian Szalay made a layup with one second remaining in regulation to tie the score at 51-51 and force overtime. Gainer’s 3-pointer was the only scoring in overtime.

Troy Tofil scored 15 points and Kevin Gainer added 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Black Tigers. Szalay led the Grizzlies with 18 points.

Firestone 75, Garfield 68

Senior Jaylin Moore scored a career-high 29 points, and the visiting Falcons (11-5, 8-1) rallied in the fourth quarter for a City Series win over the Golden Rams.

The Falcons trailed 56-52 after the third quarter but outscored the Golden Rams 23-12 in the final quarter for the win.

Senior Israel Spear added 15 points for the Falcons, and senior Crysjawn Waters led the Golden Rams with 16 points.

Senior Nathan-Bower Malone scored 15 points for the host Bulldogs (11-3, 7-2) in a Suburban-National win over the Knights.

Senior Zach Meder scored 13 points to lead the host Explorers (11-4, 6-3) over the Bears (8-7, 4-5) in a Suburban-National game.

Highland 48, Avon 45

Senior Collin Rittman made a 3-pointer as time expired in the fourth quarter to give the host Hornets (9-6) a nonleague win over the Eagles (10-6). Rittman finished with 17 points.

Coventry 97, Ravenna 41

Bryce Hargrove’s 20 points led the host Comets (12-3, 9-1 PTC-Metro) in a rout of the Ravens (2-12, 2-7). Conner Wess and Shane Sturm each added 13 points for the Comets.

Junior Logan Hill scored 27 points, junior Kyle Young added 21 points and the visiting Polar Bears (12-2, 9-1 Federal) defeated the Vikings (7-6, 4-5).
