Walsh Jesuit Tournament

The Warriors won their own tournament at Hudson Country Club, beating Dublin Jerome by 2 strokes and Green by 3.

Shelby Lewis led Walsh by carding a 3-over par 75. She tied for fourth individually with North Canton Hoover’s Maddie Ardelean. Abby Pearce was the tournament medalist, shooting a 70, just in front of GlenOak’s Jessica Hahn, who shot a 71.

Field’s Austin Goodwill shot even-par 35 at Sunny Hill Golf Course in Brimfield Township. Bailey Campbell shot 38 and Rusty Shaffer carded a 40 for the Falcons.

Cuyahoga Falls 171, ?Wadsworth 173

Rounds of 42 by Nick Marvisak and Brian Goga led the Black Tigers to a 2-stroke, Suburban League win at Barberton Brookside.

Lion-Cardinal Classic

Walsh Jesuit finished 9 strokes behind Chardon Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin, one of the host schools. Zak Supelak’s two-day total of 150 led the Warriors.

Emily Dunbar at No. 1 singles and Helaina Limas at No. 3 each won in straight sets as the Colts remained unbeaten in the Portage Trail Conference.

Norton remained unbeaten at 7-0 overall. The Panthers face Cloverleaf Tuesday in a matchup of PTC Metro Division unbeatens.

Seniors Emilie Maxheimer and Bre Lokken won a second-set tiebreaker 7-3 to prevail at No. 1 doubles match and help the Tigers improve to 3-2.
