Stow 3, Twinsburg 1

The host Bulldogs won three of four sets to defeat the Tigers in a Suburban League National Conference matchup.

Bella Varga finished with 20 kills, 19 digs and two blocks to lead the Bulldogs. Other top players for Stow were Annaiya Ruffin (11 kills), Simone Gest (nine kills and 18 digs), Marie Piccone (31 digs) and Cass Liotta (47 assists).

Girls tennis

Hudson 3, Brecksville 1

Molly Sandberg rolled 6-0, 6-0 at first singles to help the Explorers beat the Bees.

Also earning points for Hudson were Susie Fan, a 6-0, 6-1 winner at third singles, and Madeline Elliott and Istabraq Dalieh, 6-2, 6-1 winners at third doubles.

Lake 5, ?St. Thomas Aquinas 0

Hannah Ball won 6-0, 6-0 at first singles to lead the Blue Streaks (5-10) over the Knights in a nonconference matchup.

Also victorious in singles for Lake were Leslie Uphouse (6-3, 6-2 at second singles) and Olivia Paschke (6-3, 6-3 at third singles). In doubles, Esther Peach and Macey Camacho won 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 and Hannah Wilson and Kali Aten won 7-6, 6-3 at No. 2.

Jackson 6, Perry 0

Brooke Parsons scored three goals as the Polar Bears (9-3) topped the visiting Panthers in Federal League matchup.

Lauren Hattery, Alexa Pecorelli and Hannah Burgess also scored goals for the Polar Bears. Hattery finished with two assists and Pecorelli had one assist.

Brunswick 2, Mentor 0

The visiting Blue Devils held off the Cardinals. Caylee Jozefov and Heather Craska each scored a goal for Devils, who got four saves from Allison Mysliwiec in the shutout.

Goalkeeper Megan Biddell had 10 saves for the Cardinals.

Boys soccer

CVCA 4, Orrville 0

The Royals scored all four goals two by Will Lux in the first half to beat the Red Riders.

Luke Rickey and Luke Leonard also scored goals and JD Berly had three saves for the Royals. Dayton Jones had nine saves for the Red Riders.
