The Hudson baseball team will host the Cancer Awareness Classic, an event with two games Friday and four games Saturday at The Ballpark at Hudson.



Proceeds will go to Ronald McDonald House of Akron, Hudson coach Buddy Dice said.



The Cancer Awareness Classic schedule: Friday Hudson vs. Canfield, 4:30 p.m.; Hudson vs. Jackson, 7:30 p.m. Saturday Hudson vs. Avon, 10 a.m.; Hudson vs. Laurel Highlands (Pa.), 1 p.m.; Kent Roosevelt vs. Laurel Highlands (Pa.), 4 p.m.; Kiski Prep (Pa.) vs. Western Reserve Academy, 7 p.m.



Hudson (14-2, 8-0) is first in the NOC Valley following wins over Solon on Tuesday and Wednesday. Pitchers Jackson Hickert (5-0) and Ian Swan (3-1) both won. Jake Stuursma scored twice in the first win and Joe Charpentier batted in four runs in the second victory.
