NEW YORK: The game between the Indians and New York Yankees on Tuesday night was rained out.

With rain forecast throughout the night, the Yankees announced the postponement hours before the scheduled start.

The game will be made up as the second game of a single-admission doubleheader Wednesday. The first game will start at 1:05 p.m., with the second game to begin about 30 minutes after the opener.

Trevor Bauer will pitch the opener for the Indians against Jaime Garcia. Ryan Merritt will start the second game for the Indians against Jordan Montgomery.

Bruce offers aid

The Indians and outfielder Jay Bruce are working together to benefit those impacted in Bruce’s native Southeast Texas.

All donations made to Cleveland Indians Charities from now until Sept. 10 will directly impact nonprofits in Texas affected by Hurricane Harvey.

Additionally, Bruce and his wife, Hannah, will match up to $100,000 in donations made to CIC by Sept. 10.
