The Akron RubberDucks on Friday announced a new addition to their popular “Extreme Foods” menu that offers a culinary nod to Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel.
The latest entree is the “Johnny Footlong” — an 8-ounce Five Star hot dog topped with Texas Jack Chili, shredded pepper jack cheese and Sriracha sauce — in honor of “Johnny Football.”
“We’re always looking to incorporate the sporting trends of northeastern Ohio into our menu,” said Brian Manning, director of food and beverage, in a news release. “This is a great way to mix the excitement in the region with a fun, delicious and quality product.”
The “Johnny Footlong” will sell for $8 and is available at the Dog Pound concession stand in left field behind the Fowl Territory section.
It was introduced at Friday’s game.
“Johnny Football mania is in full swing at Canal Park, and we are excited to have a food and beverage offering dedicated to the new Browns Quarterback,” RubberDucks General Manager Jim Pfander said.
