The regular season ended on a sour note for the Kent State women’s basketball team, as the Golden Flashes lost 91-48 to Bowling Green at the M.A.C. Center on Tuesday night.

The Flashes (6-20, 5-11 Mid-American Conference) were outscored 41-19 in the first half and could not make a run in the second half. KSU committed 22 turnovers and shot 32.7 percent from the field in the game.

Tamzin Barroilhet led the Flashes with 12 points and Trisha Krewson added 10 points. Barroilhet led the team with five rebounds, and Jamie Hutcheson had five assists.

Early mistakes set the tone for the Flashes, as they committed five turnovers in six minutes and were behind 15-4 with 14:28 remaining in the first half.

The Flashes came into Tuesday’s game in ninth place in the MAC and had a chance to host a MAC Tournament game with a win.

Jillian Halfhill scored 17 points and Alexis Rogers added 13 to lead the Falcons (24-5, 14-2).

The Golden Flashes lost to the Falcons 76-57 on Jan. 4 in Bowling Green in the MAC opener for both teams.
