The Aeros’ offense, which appeared to be on the verge of breaking out, was slowed to a halt, getting a season-low two hits in a 7-2 Eastern League loss to the host Binghamton Mets on Saturday.

The Mets (12-10) scored a run in each of the first four innings and totaled 13 hits in the game.

Mets pitcher Logan Verrett dominated the Aeros (9-13) for eight innings, striking out eight, walking one and improving his record to 4-0.

He gave up two earned runs on two hits, one of them a home run by Aeros catcher Chris Wallace.

Matt Packer took the loss for the Aeros, falling to 0-3. He gave up four runs on 10 hits in 4? innings, striking out two and walking three.

Packer allowed the leadoff runner to reach base in four of the five innings he started.

The Aeros and the Mets will finish the series at 1:05 p.m. today.

Paolo Espino is scheduled to pitch for the Aeros against Jacob DeGrom for the Mets.
