COLUMBUS: Just five days before his first game on the Ohio State sideline, Urban Meyer is excited, concerned and hopeful.
Meyer, who returned from a year of doing television commentary to take over the embattled and NCAA-sanctioned Buckeyes, says he's pumped up about taking the field with his new team against Miami (Ohio) on Saturday.
The Buckeyes are "OK" in talent compared to his powerhouse Florida teams, Meyer says, and he is withholding judgment on a couple of positions — linebacker and receiver, primarily — where there are questions.
Meyer has stressed he wants an angry team. Asked why his players should be mad, he says because they had a historically bad 6-7 season in 2011 and now have something to prove.
