Marreesse Speights has opted out of the final year of his contract and will become a free agent this summer, a league source said.

Speights, acquired in a midseason trade last year from the Memphis Grizzlies, was scheduled to make $4.5 million next season. He averaged 10.2 points and 5.1 rebounds in 39 games with the Cavs.

Speights was expected to opt out after the Cavs selected Anthony Bennett with the first overall pick in the draft.
