Philadelphia 76ers forward Arnett Moultrie has been suspended five games without pay for a league drug violation.

His suspension began with Monday night’s game against the Atlanta Hawks.

10-DAY CONTRACT — The Charlotte Bobcats announced they have signed forward DJ White to a second 10-day contract. Financial terms of the deal Monday were not released.

The 6-foot-9 White only played in one game for Charlotte during his first 10-day contract and did not score. He had one rebound and one steal.

INJURY — Bobcats center Al Jefferson had seven stitches above his right eye after taking an elbow to the head.

The injury occurred during the first quarter of Monday night’s game against the Washington Wizards.

He went back in the game in the first quarter after getting taped up on the bench. When it was time for Jefferson to come out for a breather, he walked straight to the locker room to get stitches and returned in the middle of the second quarter without missing any of his regular playing time.

Jefferson had nine points in the first quarter in eight minutes.
